BC Spot Prawn season stays open only for 30-40 days every year. Commercial Prawners will once again be heading out each morning to bring these delicious little critters. Spot Prawns are harvested by trap from the deep, rocky floor of the Pacific Ocean. They are harvested for only short periods of time every year and are valued for their firm texture and sweet, delicate flavor.
